Uber and Bolt at Lanseria

Both Uber and Bolt serve Lanseria Airport with well-defined pickup and drop-off zones. These are by far the most popular ground transport options for most Lanseria passengers, offering convenience, price transparency and app-based booking.

For arrivals, open your Uber or Bolt app after collecting your bags and the airport will appear as a suggested pickup location. Walk to the designated rideshare pickup zone (signposted from the arrivals exit). For departures, you can set the Lanseria Airport address (R512 Pelindaba Road, Lanseria, 1748, Gauteng) as your destination in the app.

Estimated Uber/Bolt fares (one-way, indicative): From Sandton: R120–R200 From Fourways: R80–R140 From Midrand: R90–R160 From Centurion: R150–R250 From Pretoria (Hatfield): R200–R350 From Bryanston: R100–R160 From Randburg: R90–R150

Private Transfer and Shuttle Services

Several private transfer companies offer fixed-price shuttles between Lanseria and key departure points including Sandton, Rosebank, Centurion and Pretoria. These services must be pre-booked and offer the advantage of a fixed, guaranteed price regardless of traffic conditions or surge pricing. The driver will typically meet you inside the terminal with a name board.

For corporate travellers and VIP requirements, many of Lanseria’s charter operators also offer ground transfer services integrated with their aviation packages.

The bus terminal is located to the east of the main terminal building, accessible through the doors leading to the old car rental offices. Bus shuttle services operate from this terminal. Buses are a low-cost option best suited to passengers familiar with the Johannesburg and Pretoria bus network. For most travellers, Uber, Bolt or private transfer is a more convenient alternative.
